Teragonia Expands Astradis™, the AI Operating System for Private Equity-Backed Companies, and Makes its Conversational Intelligence Agent Generally Available

Astradis now runs the data foundation engine behind every pipeline, so changes are tested faster, failures are traced to their cause, and numbers a portfolio company can defend show up in weeks.

CHICAGO, October 27, 2026 — Teragonia today announced new capabilities for Astradis™, its AI operating platform for PE-backed companies, that make the pipelines behind a company’s numbers faster to update and easier to fix, and the general availability of Talk2Astra, its conversational intelligence agent that lets executives reason with the connected brain established by Astradis.

Every PE-backed company faces the same problem. The answers exist, but they’re scattered across systems, spreadsheets, and inside the memories of a few key employees with no shared definition of what the numbers mean. A question that should take seconds takes days, and the figure still cannot be defended when the board or auditors ask how it was calculated. The conventional fix is building a warehouse and dashboard that takes up to 18 months, nearly a third of a five-year hold spent on building infrastructure while EBITDA waits. PE-backed companies can spend millions of dollars and still end up without the answers they paid for. While most AI tools address one piece of the stack – the pipeline, a dashboard, or a conversational agent- Astradis connects every step and relationship between scattered data and the P&L inside one governed foundation, traceable to the transaction, and delivered by a team with deep experience in private equity and value creation.

What’s new: Astradis now runs the data engine

Running a company’s data engine historically meant engineers standing up clusters, handing out credentials manually, and tediously reviewing raw logs to learn why a job failed. Now, Astradis runs that engine inside a single portal, with seamlessly integrated capabilities and no heavy infrastructure to maintain. Pipelines run in dependency order, on schedule, or as soon as new data lands, so new data and fixes reach leadership sooner.

“Data readiness is the hardest, and most tedious, part of deploying AI that works,” said Thomas Thayyil Thomas, CEO and Founder of Teragonia. “And a PE-backed company makes this even harder: fast organic and inorganic scaling inside a limited hold period and a board that expects the AI strategy to show up in EBITDA immediately. That’s why Astradis builds a four-layer data foundation within weeks, ensuring results that show up in the P&L fast.”

One platform, from scattered data to driving EBITDA

Astradis connects a company’s systems through more than 700 prebuilt connectors, and turns the contracts, invoices and emails that never reach a system of record into governed tables and actionable intelligence. DMAAI, Teragonia’s patent-pending Data Modeling Autopilot, reads thousands of tables and drafts the data model for Teragonia’s Value Orchestration Engineers to approve, compressing months of discovery and modeling into weeks.

On that foundation sit shared metric definitions, a company ontology drawn from Teragonia’s industry library, and a knowledge graph linking customers, products, services, sites, employees, vendors and contracts across systems, so AI reasons over the business as it runs. Predictive dashboards, daily and weekly email digests with embedded Astra Insights explanations, workflow agents and predictive intelligence applications draw from the same connected enterprise brain, and Astradis checks every AI answer, scores its confidence, and records an audit trail before anyone acts on it.

In January 2027, Astradis goes headless: Astradis MCP opens governed data, metrics and ontology to tools a company already uses, so executives get defensible answers where they work and can select best-of-breed tools, freely.

“Connecting an AI model to company data is the easy part. The model changes constantly, and it isn’t what makes an answer trustworthy,” said Dr. Sai Mali Ananthanarayanan, Chief AI Officer and Co-Founder of Teragonia. “Trust comes from the foundation underneath: your data modeled correctly and definitions agreed, so a CFO can put a number in front of a board and explain how it was calculated.”

Talk2Astra: ask a question on your business, get an answer you can defend

An executive asks a question in plain English, such as which active recalls lack a documented protocol response, and Talk2Astra draws on data and documents and returns the figure, its source and definitions, insights, and recommended next steps, all routed to the person who can own those actions. A general-purpose AI assistant answers from generic information; Talk2Astra starts with how the industry runs via industry and function specialist agents, applies the company’s definitions and rules, and returns every response with an explanation and confidence score attached. Talk2Astra is connected to the brain of the company in Astradis, including semantic models, ontologies and knowledge graphs.

Results in weeks, driven by your data

Astradis deploys in as little as 48 hours. Within two weeks, every core source system of record is connected to your data warehouse. By week three, your raw data is mapped to the KPIs you run the business on, and the gaps in your data quality are out in the open. One client was reporting 17 KPIs, while Astradis uncovered 40 KPIs that were hidden inside the systems it already had.

Availability

These new capabilities, including Talk2Astra, are generally available today. Start with a Data Foundation & Value Map in four weeks: Teragonia connects your systems, maps your KPIs and sizes the value.
